Mechanical engineering at Rice University is ranked 29th among the nation’s top graduate programs in the 2022 U.S. News and World Report ranking.
This marks the fifth year in a row in which the program has placed in the top 30 in the category of “Best Graduate Schools (Engineering, Mechanical).” The ranking is down three places from last year.
Among private universities, mechanical engineering at Rice ranked 13th.
The annual assessment is based on evaluations by department chairs at peer engineering schools.
